A service reminder can usually be reset after the appropriate maintenance has been completed. The date and mileage values are set through the motorcycle’s diagnostic system rather than by disconnecting the battery or clearing the display. Motorrad Lab uses professional BMW-compatible diagnostic equipment and checks the motorcycle’s model year and control-unit response before confirming the available function.
Resetting the reminder does not service the motorcycle, repair a fault or automatically create an official dealer record. It is a separate diagnostic function. If a warning remains after the reset, the underlying condition should be investigated rather than repeatedly cleared.
Have the exact model, year and registration or VIN available privately when booking. Compatibility varies by generation, fitted equipment and software version. Mobile appointments are available subject to distance, scheduling and the live call-out calculation.
